Atheists..is your trust in science based on faith or based on science? defending christians?
"Unless you’ve observed something yourself, or observed and interpreted the evidence yourself and drew your own conclusions, you are just as guilty as faith as any religious person. " => I'm a Christian, but I don't entirely agree with this statement. To put faith in science isn't the same as putting faith in religion. At least when you put faith in science, you are open-minded about changes. You are ready (or you SHOULD be) ready to accept any new theories that come along and reject any old ones that you may have loved. But in religion, to put faith, in say the Bible, means to trust it and reject any new coming evidence. If a new holy book comes along and provides suggestive evidence that Bible is false, a Christian is supposed to reject that holy book and trusts the Bible nonetheless. But in science, it is ok to reject old theories and embrace new ones.
