Mens opinion on body type and relationships (gay and straight)?

You meet someone who has a great personality, no drama, your able to compromise on every disagreement, you have fun together, the sex is great and frequent but they aren't the body type you normally go for. Does it make a difference? Ex: you normally go for short, young, fat, long haired blondes. I'm a tall, skinny, older, short haired brunette.
