Yugioh tech genus question?

in the yugioh game tag force 5 all of the tech genus ex.(tg. cyber magician, tg. werewolf) has an effect that says they are also a treated as a machine type monster, and i just bought a few extreme victory packs and i got some tech genus monster and they dont have that part of the effect. how comes the actual cards doesnt have that effect.
